This is very convenient because it allows you to set it up in a cloud folder like Dropbox or Google Drive. On top of this, you can store your OBS installation wherever you want. When setting up OBS as portable mode, what happens, is that all your settings, scenes, plugins… everything will be stored in a single folder on your PC, rather than in various folders that you get with a normal installation. ![]() Or even if you were to stream from a different PC, not having all your scenes and settings ready to go… Luckily there is a very simple way to fix this. If your PC were to crash, or you’d have to reinstall everything, it can really be annoying when you wouldn’t have a backup of OBS. Making all your scenes, your sources, sometimes even adding lots of filters to them and not to mention all your different plugins. ![]() Setting up OBS for your stream can be quite some work.
